Oskot

Terms of Service

Last updated 19 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Oskot for your use of the service. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you don't, don't use Oskot.

1. Who we are

Oskot (“we”, “us”) is a call-screening service operated from England and Wales. You can reach us at support@oskot.app.

2. What Oskot does

Oskot screens incoming calls. We assign you a forwarding number, you switch call forwarding on at your mobile carrier with a code we give you, and calls that reach that number are answered by an automated AI agent instead of you. We record and transcribe those calls, summarise them, and show them to you in the app.

Oskot is not a phone service and not a replacement for one. It cannot place calls, it is not a call-blocking guarantee, and it must never be relied on for emergency communication. We do not control which calls your carrier forwards to us, and calls can be missed, mishandled, or wrongly classified — including calls you wanted.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You need a mobile number on a supported carrier, and you must be the person entitled to use that number and to set up call forwarding on it. Keep control of the number and the device you sign in from: anyone with access to them can reach your account, including your recordings and transcripts. Tell us straight away if you lose that control.

4. Call forwarding and your carrier

Switching forwarding on and off is something you do with your carrier, using the codes we give you. Your carrier's own terms and charges apply to forwarded calls and we have no control over them. Carriers change how forwarding works from time to time, which may affect or interrupt the service.

5. Recording calls

Oskot records and transcribes the calls it answers. The agent tells callers the call is being recorded where the personality you chose includes that warning, but you are responsible for using recordings lawfully in your jurisdiction — including any local rules on notifying the other party, and on sharing or publishing a recording. Don't use Oskot to record calls you are not entitled to record.

6. Provisioning time

Your line is not live the moment you subscribe. Reserving a number and connecting it with your carrier usually takes up to three days and can take up to seven. Your subscription starts when your app store charges you, not when the line goes live.

7. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Oskot is a paid subscription, offered monthly or annually. Every agent personality costs the same, on the website and in both app stores. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple or Google Play through your store account, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.

If your subscription lapses, screening stops. Turn forwarding off at your carrier so calls ring on your phone as normal.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

9. Your content and ours

Recordings, transcripts, and the notes you write stay yours. You grant us the licence we need to run the service — to store, process, transcribe, summarise, and show that content back to you, and to review it where you ask us for support or send us feedback on a call. We may use aggregated or de-identified information, which does not identify you or your callers, to improve how the service works.

The app, the site, our brand, and everything we put into them remain ours. Nothing here transfers that to you.

10. Availability and changes

We'll try to keep Oskot running, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or withdraw features, carriers, or territories. If we withdraw something you paid for and can't offer a fair alternative, we'll say so and you can cancel.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription with Apple or Google Play, turn forwarding off at your carrier, and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or other people at risk, or if we're required to. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll tell you first.

12. Disclaimers

Oskot is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI agents can misjudge a caller, mishear a sentence, or produce an inaccurate transcript or summary; treat them as a record of what our system heard, not as evidence of what was said.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, business, or opportunity, or for any loss arising from a missed, screened, or mishandled call. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Oskot in the twelve months before the claim arose.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you in the app or by message before it takes effect. Continuing to use Oskot after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may be able to bring proceedings there.
